El Segundo Recreation & Parks reminds park visitors to “Play it Safe!”

The Recreation and Parks Department is thrilled to see the parks getting used by people of all ages to stay active and healthy, spend quality time with family, and enjoy the sense of community around us, albeit distanced. With summer right around the corner, certain areas of the parks re-opening and more amenities slated to open in the coming weeks and months, it is important that park visitors stay vigilant against the spread of COVID-19. We remind all parks visitors to “Play it Safe!” by practicing the following guidelines within all City parks and recreation facilities:

• Maintain 6-foot distancing from those outside your immediate household
• Wear a face covering for interactions with park staff or other park users
• Wash your hands frequently by using one of the provided hand-washing stations at
   Recreation Park and Library Park
• Carry hand sanitizer with you and use it frequently
• Limit touching shared surfaces (doorknobs, gate enclosures, drinking fountains, etc.)
• If you are feeling unwell, please visit another time when you are feeling better

El Segundo Recreation & Parks encourages you to get outside and stay active, but for the safety of you and your neighbors,
please remember to “Play It Safe!”
