Dial-A-Ride with Lyft

Available Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m.-4:45 p.m. and Saturdays 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 

Getting around El Segundo is easier than ever. El Segundo’s Dial-a-Ride program offers residents aged 55 and older or those with disabilities free, door-to-door transportation to in-town destinations. Lyft now goes to Trader Joe's in Manhattan Beach. 

Rides are available on-demand and can also be scheduled up to 7 days in advance. Valid Rec ID is required. 

Booking a ride is easy:

If you have the Lyft app on your phone, simply call the Joslyn Center to receive an invitation text message. Once you accept the invitation, your rides within El Segundo will become free of charge, up to $15. If you require a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle, go to Lyft App Settings, and toggle on Wheelchair Access.  

If you don't have a smart phone or access to the Lyft app, you can book rides by calling the Joslyn Center to use Lyft Concierge Service. Just provide your location, time of departure, destination, and whether you require a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle. You will receive a text message or phone call when your driver is near and again when your driver has arrived. After you verify the driver's name and vehicle license plate number, you are ready to enter the car and enjoy the ride to your destination. Up to three passengers can ride in the car and you can use Dial-a-Ride up to 40 times each month.

Doctor Dial-A-Ride with Lyft

Available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. 

Catch a Lyft with Doctor Dial-A-Ride! This program is designed to give residents ages 55+ more options for transportation to their doctor appointments! Valid Rec ID is required.  For more assistance with Dial-a-Ride, contact the Joslyn Center at 310-524-2705.
